Good News For Belize Homeowners and QRP Visa Holders
BTB updated their FAQ’s and stated that Belize homeowners and QRP visa holders will be allowed to return to Belize during Phase 3 of border reopening!
FAQ's No. 50 and No. 51
- I have a private home/condo in Belize. What protocols will apply for individuals wishing to return to their private homes?
Yes. Individuals who own private homes will be allowed to return to the country during Phase 3. You will need to apply to return to Belize, and show proof of ownership of property. Once approved, you can arrange to travel to Belize. Upon arrival you will need to take a Covid PCR test, and must quarantine at home for 14 days.
- I have Qualified Retired Person (QRP) status. Will I be able to return to Belize during phase 3?
Individuals who have QRP status in Belize will be allowed to return to the country during Phase 3. Individuals in this category will be administered a Covid PCR test upon arrival and will be required to quarantine at their home for 14-day days. At the end of the quarantine period, you will be able to move freely.
