Best Sushi on Caye Caulker at T&T Bar and Grill

Last Friday we ventured out to North Island for what turned out to be the best Sushi dinner on Caye Caulker!

The Easiest Way To Get To North Caye Caulker

The T&T Bar and Grill, at the new resort El Ben is not far from The Split on North Caye Caulker, so we hopped on the Split-To-Split Ferry at the Lazy Lizard that goes back and forth between South and North Caye Caulker all day until 8:30pm at night on weekends. For only $5BZ ($2.50US) the Split-To-Split Ferry offer the quick ride to the north side and for an additional $3BZ, Captain Clayto will even take your bike!

A Quick Golf Cart Ride To El Ben

A not even 5-minute ride on a golf cart or a bike and we arrived at our dinner destination – the T&T Bar and Grill for their Sushi Night Special.

El Ben doesn’t have a large sign at the entrance, but there is nothing like it (yet) on the Northside. So, just follow the road and you won’t miss it!

El Ben is a beautiful new resort with several cabins on the property. The style reminds us a lot of Ramon’s Hotel in San Pedro.

Even if you are not staying on North Caye Caulker, you should still head over and visit T&T Bar and Grill!

The restaurant is under a large palapa, decorated with beautiful local wood. We loved the atmosphere and the playlist of the Mexican band Elefante at just the perfect volume in the background. Somebody here has a great taste in music!

Anyway, before we start talking about food, let’s mention the awesome staff at the bar, the kitchen, and the waiters. Thank you for the great service!

Sushi Night

The T&T Bar and Grill just recently started offering a Sushi Night Special, so we had to go check it out!

They had five different Sushi Rolls on the menu – and we tried all of them!

We started with a delicious Chicken Lime Soup, followed by five different Sushi Rolls, followed by “retesting” our favorites…

Everybody in our group loved it! It’s not a Japanese Restaurant, but this is by far the best sushi on Caye Caulker!

The Cocktails

Not only the food was delicious, T&T Bar and Grill offers a very nice cocktail menu, as well!

So, of course, we had to sample one or the other cocktail. Well, we only sampled three different cocktails, but they were all winners!

Regular Dinner Menu Available

If you are not a Sushi Lover, the large regular dinner menu is also available along with the Sushi Special and it sounds delicious!

Time To Head Back South

Fed and happy we tried not to miss the last Split-To-Split Ferry back over to the Lazy Lizard and our homes on the Southside.

Big thumbs up for the T&T Bar and Grill!

Delicious food, awesome cocktail menu, and great service.

We will definitely be back soon to check out the regular dinner menu and make it further down the long list of cocktails!

INSIDER TIP

The T&T Bar and Grill got really busy as the evening went on, so we recommend to make a reservation!
