New COVID-19 Regulations For Belize

The Government of Belize just announced in a press conference the following changes to the COVID regulations for Belize:

The adjustments are as follows:

Curfew:  Sunday to Wednesday 10pm to 4am and Thursday to Saturday 11pm to 4am

Church Service:  Reduced to 1 hour at 50% capacity

Restaurants:  75% capacity for outdoors and 50% for indoors w/ free airflow only. The Belize Government asks Justices of the Peace for help to enforce rules and regulations at restaurants.

Frontline Workers:  Restaurant owners and employees, along with tour guides, teachers, and pastors or ministers are now considered frontline workers and will either have to get vaccinated or provide a negative COVID test every 2 weeks starting August 1, 2021.

BPO’s:  Indoor max. capacity at 50%.

The Ministry of Health and Wellness informs the public of its Vaccine Education Campaign and encourages everybody 18 years and older to get vaccinated.
 
Additionally, the Ministry urges the public to continue to wear a face mask properly in public, maintain consistent physical distancing, avoid social gatherings, and wash and sanitize hands often.
