COVID-19 sent us all into isolation or quarantine in 2020 and most of us have spent a lot of time in “San Living Room” this year and didn’t get to go on vacation to get some vitamin “Sea”.

The Corona Virus is not going anywhere any time soon, so there is no better place to follow the COVID-19 guidelines than on a small island in Belize!

Check Out 10 Reasons To Visit Caye Caulker Belize In 2021!

1. Caye Caulker Is A Small Island

Caye Caulker is a small limestone coral island off the coast of Belize in the Caribbean Sea measuring about 5 miles / 8.0 km (north to south) by less than 1 mile / 1.6 km (east to west).

Caye Caulker has been pretty isolated for much of 2020 to keep the Corona virus as contained as possible. You can easily get around by walking and get your much needed doses of vitamin D and vitamin Sea.

It’s highly unlikely that you will get lost – we only have three main streets. Front Street, Middle Street, and – you guessed it – Back Street.

2. Caye Caulker Has Plenty Of Oceanfront

As you head north on Front Street and get closer to The Split, the island is so narrow that there’s only Front Street left and you can see the Caribbean Sea on both sides.

3. Get “Grounded” And Leave Your Shoes At Home

No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problem!

Our streets are sandy and you can go everywhere without shoes.

But even though we have a very relaxed dress code, topless sun tanning is not allowed – sorry, ladies!

4. Caye Caulker Never Gets Too Crowded

Right now approximately 1,200 to 1,500 people live on the island fulltime and even during high season, Caye Caulker is not full of tourists.

So, if you want to social distance more than 6 ft., no matter where you go, you will always have a choice of what grade of social distancing is right for you.

5. Caye Caulker Offers Around 100 Boutique Hotels And Accommodations

One of the nicest things about visiting Caye Caulker is the weather.

With an average yearly temperature of 84° F (29°C), it’s always warm, yet comfortable. Especially on the Caye with the sea breeze! It rains much less on the Cayes than on the mainland, so don’t worry if your online weather forecast predicts rain for the duration of your stay.
